50 x 70 mm - a shape no other country on this list uses - with the face 31 to 36 mm from chin to crown. That works out at only 44-51% of the photo height, roughly half the head fraction Europe asks for. Canada opens its own guidance by warning that its rules differ from everyone else's.

Canada requires the photo to be taken in person by a commercial photographer or studio and professionally printed, with the studio name, address and date written or stamped on the back of one of the two prints. A photo you make and print at home cannot satisfy that.
It is still useful: crop to the exact format and run the checks to see whether a studio's photo actually meets the rules before you pay for it or submit it.
